It does look good from what we can tell in that photo, but my goodness is it ever time for Mercedes to get a new interface/look for the the comand thingy. Only the S-Class will get a new design/concept it seems. Until then the B-Class' interface looks just like the SLS, that isn't right. Quit being so damn cheap Mercedes-Benz.

The B class is unlucky its debuting right before the S..
But be sure that with the FL of this car the Command will be updated..
How would you feel buying a S class who has a interface allready seen on a B?

Garmin wins satnav software deal from Daimler

BERLIN, June 16 (Reuters) - Garmin has won a major deal to supply navigation software to Daimler, with details of the order to be unveiled over coming weeks, a senior company official told Reuters.

"Garmin's pipeline is healthy," said Roger Jollis, Garmin's chief of automotive business development, on the sidelines of an industry conference in Berlin.

Garmin and other navigation device vendors increasingly see the car industry as a key growth driver as they struggle to fend off competition from Google and Nokia, which offer free navigation on mobile devices.

Differing from its key rivals, Garmin owns and operates its five manufacturing plants, something Jollis said the firm sees as a key advantage. (Reporting by Tarmo Virki; Editing by David Holmes)

I think the interface or radio is perfect for this car its very good i have it in my E class and its excellent.I say the B is lucky to have the same system.

Putting those SLS vents in a grocery go getter for mature women is killing the SLS's shine, not forgetting that the slk interior is a copy paste of SLS. Too much parts bin for my liking.

Meh, those vents were in an E-class long before they were in the SLS. As far as I'm concerned they are part of Mercedes heritage and certainly the best vent design they ever came up with.

I love the airvents reminds me off all those W123 we had since i was young ..Perfect..The interior if it is like the picture is Brilliant especially for a car in this class Superb.

Just some quick observations:

- New a/c controls
- What looks to be a stitched dash ( either leather or more likely, MB-Tex)
- First Mercedes to have the COMAND rotating wheel without a handrest.

Americans, trust me when I say you have NO idea as to just HOW damn ugly/bland/awkward the current A and B Class cars are, if you haven't been to Europe yet. These new ones will be huge improvements, and I'm sure Sales will skyrocket, it's just too bad they're relying on those terrible and goofy, insta-dated lines.

Hi shiningstar what you meant by no armrest..

Guys i mite get bashed here but i am loving this New B class especially that interior its just brilliant in a way i feel its even better then the C class its modern and funky yet has that retro MB feel with the rotary airvents..A interior like this in the new A class with a sporty exterior and good engines and drive and i can see the new A class being a real seller for MB seems this time MB has got their act together regarding the A and B..Guys you must undertsand the B class is a car which has its market yes many off us car enthusiets wont like a car like this its almost like a moms taxi for us.The market requires a car like this and i think this will be very Popular car...When will we get the real shots any idea guys..Oh and will their be no manual verison or will their be one.

^^^^ He means that little extension of the armrest like in the ML, S, E etc.

I personally like the design and the interior looks good, but I don't think this will sell in the US. Just my opinion.

Pretty cool that it also has ambient lighting, at least as an option.
