Panamera 2011 Porsche Panamera Turbo S is world's quickest production sedan

The Porsche Panamera is a mid to full-sized luxury car (E-segment or F-segment for LWB in Europe) manufactured and marketed by Porsche. The Panamera name, as with the Carrera name, is derived from the Carrera Panamericana race.
Here you see the Panamera turbo allready has a max boost of 0,85 bar and 0,935 bar under overboost, so the PTTS hjas more.

http://www.porsche.com/microsite/te...tring=&SelectedVariant=PMTPanameraTurboTurboS

Trust me on this. I see 1.0 bar regularly in ALL weather consitions with overboost, so no it doesnt seem to be weather dependent so much. I dont know if there is 1.1bar ever, like in the vid because a 0.1s flash is very hard to spot while driving. So I think 1.1-1.2bar is the max. This is, however, not written anywhere.

Then again this article would seem to support your numbers(0,95 bar):

"Not only are the turbos larger, but the compressor wheels are titanium alloy, so Porsche says they will spool up nearly 30-percent faster than the smaller cast aluminum pieces in the standard turbos. Under normal driving conditions, maximum boost pressure for the Turbo S is .85 bar, or about 12.3 psi. During overboost, the turbos are supplying just over 13.5 psi. The standard car upgraded with the sport-chrono package only produces 12.1 psi, and that is during overboost."
Then again it contradicts the Porsche site values...
ALso lets pretend turbo boost is directly proportional to torque (from the above porsche site):
0.85 bar = 700nm
0.935bar= 770 nm
then 800nm = roughly 0.971 bar
So either Porsche boost meters are not accurate or Porsche is seriously underrating these cars.
I think we will never find out the real amount. I posted a topic on this in Porsche forums and got literally no answers.

Can't wait for the M6 GC to reclaim fastest sedan title. The Panny is such a poor looking excuse of a sedan....

PTTS still #1!

Auto zeitung just tested the M6, it performed extremely well:
0-100km/h 4.2s
0-200km/h 11.9s!
100-200km/h =7.7s

For comparison:

PTTS in 2011 test:
0-100km/h 3.7s
0-200km/h 12.2s
100-200km/h =8.5s

F10 M5
0-100km/h 4.1s
0-200km/h 12.3s
100-200km/h =8.2s

Sorry swetty bollocks if I offended you somehow... Its nice that for you it was easy to find a Autobild Sportscar scan in a BMW 6-series Official: F12/13 BMW M6 thread, on page 19, and not actually in a thread that is labeled Autobild Sportcar Scans or REVIEWS BMW 6-Series Coupe Road Tests & Reviews thread.

Your logic amazes me. NOT.
They could have equally been in these threads???!!!!

How many horsepower for the M6?

Ok as it is so easy for you, please find me two different original posts of Panamera Turbo Powerkit scans and two different original Audi A6 3.0 biturbo 313 bhp diesel scans found on this site.

Please find the original ones, not the ones pointing to them. I think that they were not easy or logical to find. But thank you for not posting where the M6 test is, but then finding the time to post sarcastic comments about it.

What about the Mercedes E63 AMG S isn't that the fastest production saloon in the world? It does 3.6sec to 100km/h and 7.6sec to 160km/h as per previous AZ test?

^ the fastest production sedan is the M5 CP and the M6 GC CP.

0-100 is meaningless for these cars, and on an autobahn while already driving there's only two cars in Germany faster as far as I know, the GT2 RS and 991 Turbo S.

Panamera is not a sedan, nor is it the fastest.

^ what are you talking about?

straight line speed or around a track?

Last i checked the panamera is faster on both than the M or AMG cars..

Also if the Panamera is no sedan then the M6 GC is not one either..

And do always remember that the panamera is a 7er/S class size car..

Stop trying to mess with porsche..you know they run circles around BMW haha
