the airwents infront of the car/hood, the little black thingy on the right
is a windscreen wiper right?...
Or it could be the airintake behind the seats... ?

At least these teasers aren't that bad since we really don't know what this car will look like....unlikes some manufacturers whose cars have been running around with pretty much no cammo, yet they still KEEP ON TEASING. :D

Lamborghini teases new supercar ahead of Paris debut

Step-by-step unveilings of new car models can be a painfully slow affair, but when it's something as exciting as a new Lamborghini, chances are that it'll be worth it in the end.

Following the barely-a-teaser shot released three months ago, this new image just released by the Italian factory gives us a glimpse at a section of what looks like the taillight on what is expected to be the company's new Murciélago successor. The Murci has served admirably in its range-topper role, having carried on in numerous variants since 2001.

What you're looking at is the first in a series of six teasers slated to be released by the Bolognese exotic automaker ahead of the car's expected debut at the upcoming Paris Auto Salon. The rest of the shots will undoubtedly follow in a timely fashion,

Any time a new Lambo is produce the world stop spinning. This car will be glorious! Unspeakable automotive excellent will shown.

Very exciting!!! Looks spectacular!!

I think it could be the bonnet, as the "broken" plastic bit looks like a huge articulated wiper blade, or two wipers resting on each other.

It looks like it has huge bonnet air intakes, like the Ford GT has for instance.

Stunning color/material work, on top of the very spectacular design!

Wow, wasnt expecting to see a Murci replacement that quick. btw, is this supposed to be more of a 458 italia rival or a Enzo / Zonda F rival?

^In between as always more towards the 599 with the V12 and all

Enzo/Zonda.. no way.. they are to expensive.. plus out of production..

Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini SpA:
"Lamborghini stands for extreme and uncompromising supersportscars of the best Italian tradition. Tradition as a value however, lives at Lamborghini alongside innovation.

We are redefining the future of our supersportscars around the two main reasons to buy: design and performance. Design has been and always will be reason number one, and we will make sure a Lamborghini will always be recognizable through its significant stylistic features.

Regarding performance, until few years ago priorities were, in this order: top speed, acceleration and handling. In recent years this has been changing. Together with design, handling and acceleration are becoming more important. Speed is not as important anymore, because all supersportscars are exceeding 300km/h (186 mph) and this is a speed that you cannot reach even on a racetrack, let alone normal roads. We think it is time to make a shift and talk more about handling and acceleration.

The key factor in terms of better handling and acceleration, meaning more immediate pleasure in driving, is the power-to-weight ratio. This is not so much about top speed and so the future will not be so focused on increasing the power, even because CO2 emissions do play a role for supersportscars too. That means the key is in reducing the weight.

A crucial part of this is to understand how to reduce the weight. From the middle of the Eighties, the average weight of our cars has increased by 500 kg because of active and passive safety, comfort and emissions reduction issues, and this is something that we have to change. Since we cannot reduce safety or comfort in our cars, we have to reduce the weight by using new materials.

The magic word for this is "carbon fiber". We started working with carbon fiber in Sant'Agata Bolognese over thirty years ago and today, with our two laboratories in Sant'Agata Bolognese and in Seattle, We are mastering a broad range of technologies which put us in a leadership position for low-volume production.

Every new Lamborghini will make the best use of carbon fiber to reduce weight."

yeah got this one on the mail..and it had me all puzzled while on the toilett ( fyi not a nice feeling):)

It has to represent the engine...what can it be other than that?
