That is a manipulation of the Rolls-Royce Phantom.
Not long to go to see what the real thing will look like.

I wonder when someone is going to comment on those huge panel gaps in the last two pictures :D

I am not fuss about the panel gaps at this stage. But I am worried about the design and the quality of the dashboard...........................

The steering wheel is much smaller than the Phantoms. Owner/Drivers will be delighted.

I'm hoping for some BMW influence, this is lower market, let's go berserk and High Tech, go wild with this one, and make it the modern Rolls.

It's a pre-production car, so it's built for testing purposes only. The materials' quality and gaps and overall finish cannot be compared to this vehicle! :usa7uh:

Seriously speaking, it looks very modern and BMW-ish for a Rolls. But we have not seen the finished interior yet...

:t-cheers:

Heh. Like what for example, other than that iDrive button??? Oh that's right, nothing.

Not even the iDrive knob is the same ... check the latest interior spy pic:

But indeed a general dash layout is the same as in F01 7er - since the same magnesium frame is used. Yet all the visual details are completely different.

I like what I'm seeing so far. I have a feeling this car will be magnificent.

What engine will power the baby rolls?

The quality of the materials will be typical RR so you will get the exact quality that is found in the Phantom. Although there are many areas in which components will be shared with BMW all facings for switchgear are from RR and not BMW. BMW have always and will continue to stress that Rolls-Royce and MINI will be not be identifiable as a BMW and vice versa.

Anyway the car is great having worked on the past few weeks and is very beautiful a modern interpretation of a classic RR The new V12 in which in a lesser powerful version will find it's voice also in the BMW 760Li. is very fast after driving it at BMW's testing grounds think of it as a very quiet , effortless performance sedan.

The good news here is that although the car has not been publically seen allbeit only by a select few private customers and RR enthusiasts.
There is a steadily increasing order book especially from individuals who have not seen the car.

But only two weeks to go.

I'm lovin' the interior! It looks very unique and differs significantly from both F01 and the Phantom-family. :eusa_clap

BMW AG recently registered the trademark (Silver) Ghost.

The Silver Ghost name is so important and iconic I think it might be a mistake to give it to the new 'baby' Rolls-Royce. They should keep it for whatever replaces the Phantom.

Probably not a popular opinion, but there it is :)
