The general thrust of these renderings is very good. Overall, I'd be very happy to see this in production.

Exactly what i was thinking.... Rear could use some help, front has some BMW looking similarities...

Re: 2009 VW Sportvan.

Looking from the rear, if not for the VW logo, you could think it's an Audi...

Re: 2009 VW Sportvan.

Alsmost a carbon copy of BMW's RFK (=V5) idea. :t-banghea

Don't know who to blame: Huckfeldt, or VW designers?

Yet V5 will have more aggressive looking front, and all the flame surfacing.

Nope.

Also VW has a tendency of not beying able to stop copying Audi (Passat) and BMW (why does VW need the Hofmeister kink ?!).

No, no, no. You are dead wrong on this.

BMW V5 is very different from R-class. It will be more like a huge hatch / shooting brake than a sporty van-ish vehicle like R-class.

I hope BMW will show the V5 concept soon to show the general public what exactly BMW have done with RFK idea. And to finally show BMW ARE NOT DEVELOPING a R-class-like vehicle!!!

1- VW has been talking about this vehicle for nearly 3 years (it was called Sfero) and back then BMW had no plans for V5 (at least not public ones)
2- The V5 isn't out yet so how can VW copy something that we don't even know how it looks

Now get over the allegations.;) :D

1. The point is: RFK idea is quite old (at least 5 years). Yet is true BMW announced the vehicle a year and a half ago in Geneva 2005.

2. That's why I said I did know who to blaim: Huckfeldt or VW designers - since this SportVan impression by Huckfeldt is very similar to RFK / V5. But I guess is just Huckfeldt's impression based on V5 (actually on his RFK CGI).

You don't need to play VAG's advocate. :D
