Shelby Supercars unveils refined 2009 Ultimate Aero that gets a 15% increase in horsepower and a new top speed of 270 mph (435 km/h).
2008 year model had 1183 hp and it successfully held the “World’s Fastest Production Car” title for the past year. Now with extra 104 hp they have made it even harder for competitors to snatch the title. Closest company they should worry about is 9ff who is working on a 1120 hp GT9R.More horses are available thanks to the newly designed 1-piece billet aluminum engine block that improves structural integrity and oiling capabilities.SSC also revamped front fascia design, added the AeroBrakeTM rear spoiler system that deploys when you hit the brakes and upgraded the interior.

Lol at the press pics, they could at least have used a 3D model. SSC does have some really skilled artists afterall.

And my interest for this car could not be lower, no matter how much power they keep adding to it.

I'd rather take the Saleen S7 & be much more happy! Something always pushes me that, it's a kit-car!

She is fast... ok, very fast but misses some basic essences of a real super-car & the quality factor... big time!
