Maxima 2009 Nissan Maxima Thread

The Nissan Maxima is a five-passenger, front-engine, front-drive sedan that was manufactured and marketed by Nissan as Nissan's flagship sedan primarily in North America, the Middle East, South Korea, and China. The Maxima debuted for model year 1982 as the Datsun Maxima, replacing the Datsun 810.
Re: 2009 Nissan Maxima Leaked!

Here is my question for Nissan.. How on earth will you ever convince people that they should buy an Infiniti when the run of the mill Nissans look just like Infinitis?!?!?! It's just the same phenomenon with every new Toyota taking influence from Lexus. Strange it is indeed. :t-hands:

Re: 2009 Nissan Maxima Leaked!

That Nissan can make good looking Infinitis (G37 Coupe, FX, G35), and still come up with a mess like this is amazing. Yeah I really do believe that they've seperate the exterior design departments, but the interior on this thing is pure Infiniti. Oh well if you want a decent looking sedan from Nissan with most of what the Maxima offers get an Altima 3.5SE.

Just looking at the live pics again. This is really one hella-ugly car. It has way to many different themes jocking for attention and its really lumpy. The hood is especially awful. Nissan is quicky filling their lineup with uglier and uglier cars. That Versa and now this.

There is also a passing resemblence to the last generation Q45 up front:

It is somewhat rare to see a new car so ugly IMO. Styling, even with the Japanese has been steadily getting better, until this.

The grill also reminds me of a larger Scion Tc grill. What a disaster.

This is my favorite Maxima...

Missing the pure Maxima's evilish-body-language, they better build it to be next Altima :eusa_doh:...!

It doesn't look any better. A strange mix of Nissan and Infiniti cues along with several other cars.
