The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a range of executive cars manufactured by Mercedes-Benz in various engine and body configurations. Produced since September 1953, the E-Class falls as a midrange in the Mercedes line-up, and has been marketed worldwide across five generations.

man, the illustration by worldcarfans.com is not nice at all, in fact i love the original pic the thread starter posted, i still believe that the new e-class will be very nice. just like the c-class, the spy photos were initially not that nice, but as times goes on the camouflouge gets less and of course you get a good view of what it will be like. If you look closely at this pic http://www.leftlanenews.com/wp-content/plugins/iimage-gallery.php?idpost=4688&idg=1&idi=1 you will notice the grill is identical or similar should i put it to the new C-Class. Also, the lights are similar to the original picture posted by the thread starter. anyway, lets hope we can more info as time goes on and i am sure this will be one great car.

Looking at the spyshots it seem like it will have graceful lines strechting across the sides of the car like the C and S-class. I would really like to see a cloe up of the head lights so that we can find out if it will have "lexus-head lights" or not. Hopefully it won't because then the Lexus fanboys on Autospies will go nuts and flame every automotive forum on the wweb.

i have the W211, and i think it is beautiful. In fact i think is one of the best looking mercedes now. I only want the next generation not to be like the new c-class. I don´t like its rear end and its interior. The front is nice.

The picture that just me has put up is just freakin' horrible. whoever made that photochop should be shot or at least break his hands so he can't ever make stupid chops like that again!

After the ML, S, CL & C I have some faith. But the Ocean Drive has scared the crap out of me
I hope they up the size of the E-class because the current one is small by class standards.

First of all thanks Tycoon for posting those pics from worldcarfans!
Merc1, I wouldn`t jump to conclusions just yet, MB designers are still doing very well and the people in the camo department do a fantastic of masking the next generational cars. In this example you can see the thick
masking over the C-Pillar and rear door windows making it impossible for viewers to figure out what the heck is going on under there. That upper boxy line is indeed artificial. The round headlights are a thing of the past at Mercedes! One can also tell that the next generation E is a lot larger than the currant model, the interior volume will increase a good deal. The "triangle" like tail lights are also a thing of the past. Thay will be different in the 09 E.

Well of course you know I know this, but it is that initial panic. Same thing with the S, CL, C, etc. So far we've had nothing to worry about, but I've grown so fond of the W211 so I don't want to see it messed up.
