For the 2009MY 6-Series Cabriolet and Coupe, BMW is introducing a new Sport Package into the range that interestingly enough, adds a new contoured hood similar in design to the one featured in both the new 7-Series and the 3-Series facelift models. Aside from the new hood, the Sport Package includes an M Sports suspension, 19-inch alloy wheels, M Steering wheel, sport leather seats, and in the case of the 650i Coupe and Convertible models, a new exhaust system with dark chromed tail pipes. Finally, buyers can choose among 7 different exterior colors.

Hummmm, looks a bit dated in them photos and the rims and wood don't match the car:eusa_doh: But the new kit looks good:D

Much needed, but that doesn't change the fact that the car is looks like a scrotum and is very much an over designed experimental design platform for BMW. Ugly and needs to be replaced ASAP, it pales against the SL, 911 and Jag XK. The M6 doesn't look any better either is doesn't stand a chance against the AMV8, R8, GT3 and SL63.

Yes, time flies by...it looks old, the 5 series still looks fresh.Odd. The M6 never competed with the R8, GT3. Is just an overweight Grand tourismo with an amazing engine

I think it is better looking than the FL SL in non AMG guise. And stop passing off SL 63 in the same league as R8 or GT3, it is not, they run circles around it (and M6).

And thou shalt have... boring wheels.

This is a crime for the 6er. It had the "right" wheels from the get-go and every subsequent design has been an excercise in mediocrity.

There are definitely better wheels for the 6-series and nicer colours then white!! But I still love the design of this car…

But it's great that with model year 2009 also the 6-series will get the new i-Drive!!! :)

A little something to keep the 6-Series going. Its a pity that coupes have such a short life.

M

So much negativity for the 6er.... :eusa_doh:

Am I the only one to notice?? Have you guys seen the new iDrive in the 6er as well?

I have noticed it!! :t-cheers: Two posts before yours… :D …The new iDrive system looks great!! I hope, that I'm able to test it then…looks much better and more intuitive then the old system.

Edit: Oh, well, I see, that you see my post - thanks for the thanks!! :)

I'm surprised the 6er is so unpopular. It's still one of my favourite BMWs - pictures don't do it any justice.

I like those new darkened tailpipes too, like on the 135i M sport.

It's far from unpopular, the car is gorgeous and stunning to look at in the flesh. A big head turner and tons of people ask me about the car and drool over it.
All the Mercedes owners I know instantly fell in love with my car once they saw it. A couple more bought them as well (3 of them neighbors, one is an M6 coupe, 2 650i cabrios).

This negativity is only coming from our dear GCF Mercedes-Benz fanatics and from others that never seen the car in real life and dare judge it from pictures... meh this car is AWESOME!

..and to my dear GCF Mercedes-Benz fanatics complaining about my car, I know who you are! :D:D

The car is popular in the states. When I visited California they where everywhere. I never seen so many 6er before. Americans seem to love the 6-series.
