Another showing of Hami's nerves. And Heikki has found alot more fomfortable settings for this track, so I don't see anything but an unforeseen event stopping Heikki.

Although if Ferrari's rain expectations turn out to be real, Kimi could put on a good fight.

I woke up too late and only caught the last 2 minutes of the last session!

What happened to Kubica... how come he had no time registered?

First time this season i miss quali (actually i missed every ******* session), Ferrari struggling and doing again another stupid mistake, Kubica had a technical prob that killed his Q3, Nick is defitively back on track wich is great and kova finally rewarded, hope he will win tomorrow.

The Mclarens are looking extremely fast, the Ferraris are surprisingly struggling. Webber must be very light on fuel but well done nothing less, for a brief moment I thought he will actually get pole position.

Lewis is making all those rookie mistakes that people expect him to make in his 1st year. Is he cracking under the weight of people's expectation, or is he just going through a bad spell?

Qual.

Wow, so we're stronger than expected. I thought Ferrari was going to be on top. Great to see Heikki back fighting at the top, Mclaren is in serious need of some major constructors points, so hopefully we'll see the seasons first Mclaren 1-2. Hamilton is certainly not looking very good in front of the home crowd. This is he third mistake 3 GPs in a row. Tomorrow he has to be flawless. Webber will most likely fall back on the standing just like Alonso did when he scored podium in Barcelona. He's jump started Kimi before and he certainly has the capabilities to jump start both him and Webber before they reach Stowe.

The press got Hamilton on a choke hold and just like in Monaco he's under major pressure of delivering. He needs this victory or else the media is going to hammer him, especially since he's lately been focusing a whole lot on commitments off the circuit. Sure he doesn't have to beat Kimi but a podium is a MUST. That should an easy achievement since Heidfeld and Alonso behind him lack the pace to challenge him. Worst case scenario is if he collides with Kimi once again.

Kubik had some handling problems, and they didn't have time to fix it. likewise, Massa and Rosberg.

Massa's wheel nut was giving problems, i didn't see him leave the pits either. Rosberg, had the car bouncing all over the kerbs, thats why he dropped out in Q1. it also seems that Trulli's free practice crash affected he's car's handling during quali as well.

i'm actually starting to think that Hammi's can't seem to handle the pressure this year. last year, he was almost as cool as Kimi, but this year, he's almost nothing.

This is a different situation for Lewis. He's at his home GP with all the pressure on his shoulders, and he's sceond best to his equal rookie team mate. Last year his team mate was the double world champion. Which is a bit of an excuse if you don't perform as well. And with less pressure, I guess that's where he found the performance last year.

Did you see Hami analyse the lap data? He is definitely not used to this situation, and he is not comfortable in it.

Fantastic race and brilliant drive by lewis and the team did well with strategies i thaught massa was very very poor and i expected more from heikki kov also ferari strageies were pathetic and cost kimi well done to heidfeld and superb rubino

Foucking damn race by Hami & Nick aka professor overtaking.

Great race!

Superb drive by Hammy, and what a drive by Heidfled!

I an sad that Kubica spun out, he was pretty amazing too, running third from 10th! Costly error, he would have been leading championship again. :eusa_doh:

Great result for the Reds... always a pleasure to seem them suffer. LOL And Massa showed his mental weakness big time. I doubt he will ever be champion, even with the best car.

Interesting and reasonably exciting race. Well done to Lewis who responded brilliantly to his critics, this is exactly what he needs, complete domination in tricky track conditions, he is in a class of his own. Ron Dennis should learn when to be humble and graciously accept the victory, and not say something like this during the post race interview, and Lewis really shouldn't be complaining about driving too slowly, if it is true.

"It was very disciplined," Dennis told ITV.

"We had to really, really keep the pace down.

"He could have gone much quicker and the last 15 laps he was complaining at having to drive too slowly.

Well done to Nick Heidfeld as well, two brave overtaking moves which saw him twice overtaking 2 cars at 1 go, and he is has finally performed better then Kubica. Congratulations to Rubens Barrichello for a surprise 3rd place, it shows there are still some speed in this man who is approaching retirement age, and it also shows Ross Brawn is sharp as ever.

Massa's Ferrari looks like a nightmare to drive, he managed to spin the car 5 times during the race, and I can see from the on board camera that he wasn't going fast, he was barely touching the throttle, and the car still got away from him. Guess his car wasn't that well setup.

Now we have a 3 way tie for the lead, with half the season to go, things should be getting even more exciting from now on.

I have to withdraw some of what I said. Obviously Heikki had a dry set-up and Lewis a wet one. Still great job by McLaren on the strategy part, and Ferrari? Very disappointing. Kimi had the pace but they can't afford strategic errors like these.

Very well done to Lewis and McLaren!

Victory!!!!!!!!!!!!

What an amazing race with result I would never have predicted. First of all I want to thank for our beloved Mclaren drivers for an amazing duel at the start of the racing. Top class racing and Heikki did a terrific job defending him position. Absolutely superb driving. Sadly he spun ruining his journey to victory. I was really hoping for a Mclaren 1-2 today with Heikki scoring his first win.

Hamilton completely dominated winning two and a half minutes ahead of Kimi. I expected Ferrari to be much stronger than Mclaren on this track. As for Rubbens I'm a little pissed off that he came third, no he will never retire.

Damn Hamilton is both skilled and lucky. Just like prior to Monaco he was under constraint from the press he has delivered when he absolutely has too. And again like in Monaco he leap frogged Kimi.

Thankfully he came through. You guys have no idea how huge the hype has been around here. Hamilton is literary everywhere and tons of people have gone all the way up to Silverstone and camped just to support him. The next GP has has to win is China. :D
