Not really pessimistic, but i see no flare, nothing exciting. Looks blah. Not even sporty. What can i say, im a bit negative owning the current, but im hones, im just not that excited about it, the tape doesn't mean much too me, i have imagination.

I'm not so sure that I like the front. I'm going to have to reserve my judgment until I see if they do the same kind of wheel arches as the W221, otherwise the front looks a bit bloated. But the rear will definitely be a stunner I think.

Im realy excited to see this beast, I can see the SEC-look on the face!

Yeah, It is definitely reminiscing the SEC in the front a bit with the wide flat grill, and the more angular lights (opposed to the circular ones).

There is nothing at all radical happening with this design - all the design cues (every single one of them) can already be found on existing Mercedes vehicles - so I don't think there is any need to be unhappy - if you love the design of Mercedes cars, then this thing will make you very happy.

PS. I still believe this car will get a more interesting interior than the S class - somthing between the S and the CLS - I'm almost certain of it.

For me, I'm still not too sure how I feel about the car. I've always been a fan of the current CL. Impressive car with a lovely rear. Not too sure I'll feel the same about this one though.

i dont know how they get the CL to drive in that snow/ice. My car is completely useless in that weather. It spins out at 10mph. ....

Maybe they were testing 4matic there. I've read somewhere that MB is going to have it on top of the line models (S, SL & CL).

Scary situation I had yesterday. I was driving the Explorer in Queens and was going down a small hill coming to an intersection, when I realized the car was sliding on the icy road. So I'm just hoping the light turns green or there is no car coming from the other direction (it was early morning). The car finally stops in the middle of the intersection. That was close.

I don't care what you have (4WD, AWD, 4matic, XDrive, Quattro), nothing will save you in that kind of situation.

After that, I just had fun making the car slide down an empty street with no cars in sight .

Is looks really nice like a S Class coupe. Those wheel arches look much nicer on this model than the S Class. I hope this is the final product. On a side note, the new CLK picture below the CL look almost similiar to the CL.
