2007 CL Class Thread 2 continued.

It really has crossed my mind, especially after that crazy video that was posted here in the cold wet conditions. Im easy going, it depends which way the wind blows that day. Im very car crazy, and whatever i wake up with on my mind i just get.... The new Porsche is by ALL MEANS an option!!! And pretty much top of the list... thing is it might be too new to purchase once its out, and im not paying a premium. Dont forget im out of my car by this time next year...

Why not go for the CLS63! (I thought you had a family) then again you said you didn`t want to step down from the model you already own.

CLS63 isnt my type of car. I like real coupes, CL55 is more my car, i thought about the SL65 or CL65 but just cant make a real decision. The Bentley GT seems too make sense more and more. :t-hands:

Anyways nothings happening now, not at least till next year, unless i really get hot for something else. Or unless something just drops in my lap...

Well you have plenty of time to think about it! The Bently is a nice car, I would consider it. You really know the CL though so stepping up to a 65 souldn`t be a problem either. Only thing is you might not be able to drive it in the snow. At least the Bently has AWD, that might be a little advantage I would think.

MAJOR adavantage.....

I spun out 3 times in the past snow storm a few months ago....

It wasnt fun.... but i had no choice i got stuck in the storm coming home from NYC.

I would NEVER drive my CL55 in the snow let alone the 65. Too risky, and too costly to destroy. Besides i got my FX at home, so now i check the forecast first.

Yep, you know the 65s wouldn`t be any better. The Bentley is so nice I don`t think I would drive that in the snow either. Well maby light snow.
I`d get a small Japanese car for snowfalls. Something thats not expensive or too large. Anyway best of luck and keep us informed.

I will and i am heavily pushing towards the Bentley GT, i have a 2005 FX35 Sport/Touring. and i take a demo from work, pretty much whatever i want that day. So at any given time i have 3 cars and a race bike too choose from.... Its just that the day i got stuck in the snowstorm i was coming in from NY and had no choice but to get home.

Only reason i was thinking about the SL65 was the body kit which i like. As for power my CL55 is plenty. Pretty much just about 550hp is above my means for the road regardless.... like i said before at one point i run out of room anyways.

Oh man, I remember you mentioning that FX35 (a while back) thats a nice suv.
Must be nice to have the toys you like.

SL65 vs. Bently CGT, that wouldn`t be a tough choice for me. I love the SL65!!!

These newest pics are promising, but not even comparing it to the Bentley yet. The Bentley looks like a giant VW to me, and it has about all the elegance of a shortened box-car to me. The only reason it is hot is because of the price and the fact that it is a two door, something Bentley hasn't had in the semi-affordable price range ever.

The current CL looks way better than the Bentley ever will. The Bentley is a big ole whale of a car with very little if any real "style" to it. An Aston-Martin DB9 slaughters it outright in the style department, but the bling-bling crowd is sophisticated enough for Aston-Martin, yet.

I'm a BMW nut but if I had money to afford other cars I wouldnt always buy a BMW.
Alex I think its time for you to change brand and this time I dont want you to buy a BMW or a Mercedes. Follow my advice, buy yourself a proper sportcar, like ferrari, lambo or a porsche. You already own a practical car (FX) so buy a true sportcar, I bet your wife wont have a problem with it ;)

here it is folx :D the cl 63 amg

See how these spy pics are starting to look better and better? I'm confident enough now to say that I knew Mercedes wouldn't ruin the CL.

We have about a month left before we get to see it officially.

I like the 997TT. I actually preffer it, as for the wife she cant drive stick, and im not about to start to teach her on a brand new 997TT. Automatic isnt really a preference too me, but if it has F1 paddles that actually work i would like that. My wifey drives all my cars and i have no problem with that... She is by FAR more careful then i am when she is driving.

If i get a Ferrari i would end up with a 360 Spyder... 430 is WAY out of range for me. Lambo, isnt a problem at all. The Murci is very small for me, but i would deal with it. ;)

Overall the 997TT is really the ideal car, and other than that perhaps a Bentley GT.
