I remember when I was a kid in 1980, one of my moms friend used to own a Fiat X1/9 and I faintly remember been taken for a joy ride in it with the targa top off. What an experience and to this day I still find this little car fascinating.

It probably can be considered one of the cars that is an inspiration for later models such as the Toyota MR2, Lotus Elise, MGF and even Porsche Boxster with its small size and mid engined layout.

I've always loved the look of this car. Shame they never made a turbo version of it. It would've been an absolute riot. However, a Dubai man created just that.

I looked at an X19 when I was looking at first gen MR2’s, it was a dog of a car in comparison. In the end I bought a SW20 turbo.

I love it, with those bicycle wheels and the car weighing how much? 500 grams? it must have been super fun
