Z Series Z4 coupe pic thread...

The BMW Z models are a line of roadsters manufactured by German automaker BMW. The Z stands for Zukunft (German for future), and has been produced in four different series with six generations consisting of roadster, coupé, sports car, and concept variants. The introduction of the M Coupé and M Roadster in the Z3 line marked the first of the Z series to have a high-performance BMW M variant. The first generation Z4 also continued to offer M Coupé and M Roadster variants. The current Z4 (G29) uses BMW's (B58B30) inline-six, its platform is the basis for the current Toyota Supra.

Rik, embargo ends sometimes later. At 4.00 p.m. CET :D

Congratulation breaking the embarrgo. :usa7uh:

We are very proud of you. :eusa_clap

no it doesn't, autoscoops said it's tonight and some dutch sites like Autovisie.nl are also posting the pictures tonight.

edit; but if I'm wrong, make sure you save those pictures before the mod's remove them. I'm sorry if I broke the embargo, but I was under the impression it had ended, and who could wait with such a car :icondrool

I think that most will be in agreement that this car is going to be mostrously good, if it is half as good as the previous M roadster (often referred to as the best handling/drift car in the world at the time). And this time it does not even look like a hatchback - its is a stunner IMO! Cheaper than the roadster as well - this should destroy the Cayman (which costs £5000 more than the Boxster S and M roadster). Anyone else have any thoughts?

It was a compliment.

Embargo is still on. But some have already broken it. You were just a messenger.
Expect official info Thursday or even tomorrow or today - since I got a faxed document I can't recognize the date - looks like Jan 26 but could also be 25 or 24. 4 p.m. is clearly readable though.

ok, well thax for the compliment than :usa7uh:

my guess would be 26, isn't it mostly on thursdays or tuesdays?

It's today.

Our local BMW unit was told by BMW AG marketing lady in an official business talk not long ago BMW would introduce (incl. first press pic & info) Z4 coupe a week before Geneva auto show - now the PR is coming 1 month earlier!

Yeah, obviously that stain was 4, not 6 or 5. :t-crazy2:

So, yes - Jan 24. 4 p.m. - as I told you.

I was in doubt someone like autoweek.nl would break embargo a day or two before ending - few hours before yes, few days no.

PS.: I guess BMW is starting with a new publishing policy or what - publishing the info on their Press Club site at the moment when embargo ends - and not anymore few hours before like it was a custom. That also make me believe the number from the document was 6 or 5, not 4.
