I have to disagree, the DB11 AMR is stunning.

It's quite amazing how the seemingly minor AMR "tweaks" changed the DB11s' aesthetic for the better. Substantially so, actually. The DBS Superleggera should be exciting.

You know.... Austin... it's the quintessential English gentlemans performance two door...

See...

I had one of these as a rental while vacationing on the Channel Island of Jersey back in 1986 (in white even !). It was alot of fun to drive, I recall.

The MG version of the Metro was a tad faster.

(y) Well, to be fair that's the Williams Grand Prix version of the MG version of the Metro.. which was a tad faster than the standard MG Metro, which was a tad faster than continental drift IIRC.

A Metro probably makes more sense on an island with a 40mph speed limit! I think 1986 was about the first time I went to Jersey too... of course I was probably about 8 then so didn't have to worry about it.. but IIRC we always took our own car, which would probably have been a Rover 800, or an SD3 200. Those were the days.

The awesome thing about the BG Metro 6R4 is the engine.

With a few tweeks and some big turbos it ended up in the Jaguar XJ220 which is a continent crushing GT and I'd have one over all the cars mentioned in this poll.

Doesn't really matter IMO. It's nothing more than a would-be S60 Coupe with a fancy propulsion system. It's ridiculously over priced and going to be a flop IMO.

A flop in what way, the production run is 1500 cars and they have all sold.

Polestar 1 coupe production could increase to meet demand

Its a far more innovative vehicle than the new 8, which is just another me too product, launched into a market where they have only been into once before back in the 90's, a segment with well established premium brand competitors, Volvo have come up with something completely different and sold all they intend to build, I doubt BMW will have the same sell out success with the 8, which will also likely be a flop no matter how good is.

You just have to say something opposing no matter if it makes sense or not. I tell you what though, BMW can sell way more than a mere 1500 8-Series cars. It's a mass production car relative to the Volvo which is why it won't "sell out", don't you know this or are you purposely being obtuse? Volvo is only building 1500 cars because at 155K, they know they'll have a limited number of suckers. 155K Volvo = fool and their money are soon parted.

Do you know where will those cars be produced?

Mass production cars do sell out, when Ford released the Mustang they sold out, ditto for the MX-5 and Boxster, plenty of mass produced cars sell out, hence dealers charging well over retail for high demand vehicles. Volvo are considering increasing production to meet with the high demand for it.

The Polstar 1 is an innovative product which people are buying into. What does the 8 series give you that you can't already get in a DB11, Continental or S Coupe? Plus an 8 series doesn't have the brand image to go with the price.

Do you know where will those cars be produced?

They're building them in China, so what?
