In my world the R8 is a notch or two below the 430 but if it was my money I would go for the Audi, no doubt about it!

Although the Audi is GR8 (great for you who don't get it) the Ferrari is the obvious choice.
If I was to buy an exotic mid engine car I would want the full sports car experience with F430, sexy design and a sensual aura. The German simply doesn't stand against the Ferreri both technically and design wise

i love both cars , offcourse for an everyday drive id pic the R8 , but outside looks the ferrari gets my vote.

overall the R8 is the winner here IMO, super and more features with an afortable price !!!!

sorry man. whether or not you think one looks better is subjective. the better design, from a technical standpoint would be the R8. the lines are proper and lead to one another. they flow very well. the F430 has random features that are found in one place of the car and not carried out throughout the design. it also has awful flow. the worst feature is probably the gorilla nostrils. they contrast the headlights too much as they seem to be near perpendicular to them. they tried to fix this with the Scuderia but it wasnt completely fixed. then there is the taillights which in contrast to the rear of the car, are too small. proportion is key in design (and art in general) and the F430 doesnt have good proportioned tail lights. not to mention that the tail lights themselves are horribly incorporated into the design- they just seem to stick out of nowhere the oulets for the exhaust (and the exhuast tips themselves) need to be moved towards the center a bit so that they line up with the "edge" of the "taillight area". hard to explain this without a pic. to understand, look at the rear of a Gallardo and see how as you follow the outside edge of the exhaust opening upward, you will directly reach the air-outlet and the taillights. this is an example of "flow"-one feature leading to another. the F430 is horribly lacking it.

the ONLY and I mean the ONLY part of the R8's design that doesnt "fit" and I dont like is the exhaust opening. other than that, its perfect as a design.

which do I think looks better? R8. which would I take? hard choice, but I would say R8 as its had it handling PRAISED and is fast enough for me.

looking at a design from a "artistic" (and not abstract art, lol) standpoint, we would look at which uses lines better, which design has better flow, better unity and proportion (ie sizes of various features), etc. the R8 wins that department handsdown. if you think the F430 looks better though, I have no right to say otherwise against your word. but I do think the R8 looks better.

Actually i think that F430 win that handsdown,it look well proportioned and smooth from every angle but the R8 looks weird and unproportioned from certain view especially the side profile.

You think R8 is better designed, i think not, imo it looks weird and even ugly from certain angles du to some clumsy lines and a very tortured volumes treatment, call it artistic or whatever, absolutely all critics and judgments on design remain pure subjectivity, and so making statement like this is useless.
