Aston Martin Vanquish and Audi S5 infront of the Munich Opera House. High society! Thankfully I carried my tripod around with me that night so I could do some long exposure Aston Martin shots…






Pink Audi Q7. Some firms just go too far…



Ford Crown Victoria! Looked like an American embassy car so I was afraid to photograph the car with the driver seeing me. Might be a trigger-happy fellow! Just kidding!

Haha, Hummer vs. Smart is hilarious! Nice photos Wimmer...Although some of the night shots have a lot of noise, did you shoot with high ISO??

Yep, I had to use a high ISO setting because I also used a very high aperture speed which naturally means a darker picture. I tried to dumb it down to ISO 800 but I most likely ended up using 1600 in poorly lit areas and even ISO 3200 in really poorly lit areas. For stationary cars I could use my tripod, a low ISO setting and a long exposure time.

You carry your tripod and camera everywhere with you?

I'm trying to always take my camera out with me because I always see good picture ideas, but they are always at night so I need to take my tripod..but I can't be bothered

And I'm not very good at taking night shots

And yeah, it's an Impala. You can usually tell by the triple taillights. They even tried resurrecting the old theme with the last generation of Impalas:

Nope, only that night. My tripod is made out of metal and it gets really cold at this time of the year when I am outdoors. Furthermore its little cloth jacket is all torn up and the tripod will fall out, hence I have to carry it by hand - and that's ice cold.

Night shots care cool to take but you do need either a tripod or on a DSLR use a high aperture speed. The problem with that is that the high aperture speed means less light will enter the camera making your shot darker by default. To compensate for this you have to use a higher ISO setting (with the pictures then becoming more grainy). Adjusting the exposure values helps a little too.
