Why did you choose your username?

It's a rough letter to letter translation of my name from Greek to English. In terms of sound, Yannis is a better word, but we already have a member by that name. In English, I would be just John.

A nickname that was applied while living in the U.S. with my family for several years as a very young lad.

When I joined this forum I was in South Africa and the first generation Toyota Fortuner was released and I just got it the day I logged on the GCF ...

It's a systems username (first name and first two letters of surname) that I got issued at one of my early employers - it stuck with me and my mates.

First letters of name and first letters of surname, which unexpectedly resulted in a "word" that looks balanced

I've put down my pants and noticed an error in them and there you go... :happy001: :happy001: :happy001: :happy001: :happy001: ( must joke at my own)

I believe my username is a direct, and 100% accurate translation to Russian, from my actual name.

:D :D

Dude-I "Googled" that.

At first I thought, before "Googling": "Well, if it's Russian, it must end with a "y" rather than an "i".". But then, the plot thickened and...new shit came to light, man.

Was a huge fan of Jay Z ....HOVA still a fan I guess. Shortened slang version of my name Bongz and ZA being my countries zip code .. SA ...which I love.

Yeah as far as I'm concerned it's a made up word and doesn't translate to anything... it's actually a 16 year old "in" joke from the first forum I ever ran, it stuck ever since. There is a place called Matski (when translated) in Belarus, locally called Мацкі, though I assume that's in Belorussian.
