Hey, Martin! Whassup, bro?

Man, sure the F1 circus won't be the same without him, but he has achieved a lot in F1 and it'll take many years for someone to "overtake" him.

Yeah, good riddance, 'cause young drivers have their chance now...

How's business, my friend?

:t-cheers:
Hey Tyc, 'sup brother?

You know, whether you liked Michael Schumacher or not you have to admit that the guy was responsible (win or lose) for the most spectacular moments in Formula 1. Schumi was always there in the thick of it - sometimes controversially I concede - making Formula 1 worth watching. Either you wanted him to win or you wanted his boxer short handed to him on a platter: the point is, Michael Schumacher was Formula 1's frame of reference for 13 years!

So tell me, this year who's the one to beat? Who's that new F1 reference icon? Fernando? Could be... but I'm not convinced - when his car isn't competitive he seems to be content with sitting back and taking some points.

Kimi, sheesh what talent - but does he ever blow and hot and cold! One minute he's motivated, the next, in the kitty litter. I hope some historical Ferrari reliability can give him the resolve to attack the championship like never before!

Yes, I agree, it's time for the young drivers to compete equally amongst each other and not collectively against the benchmark - Michael Schumacher.

Business is getting there! Thanks for asking. We've landed some nice deals and are aiming to break even soon. Phew, it's been tough. Thank you for asking.

@ Martin

Joburg? I grew up in South Africa:) I have been in Australia since I was 11. I lived near to St Lucia close to Richards Bay.

Edit: F1 needs a Rossi:)
Hey howzit there, C.Charles.

Grew up in the St Lucia area eh? Awesome, which town? Mtubatuba? I've spent many many holidays in St. Lucia - it's a personal favourite of mine!

How's life in Oz been? I'm very keen to live there...

(OT I know, but mods please grant us this little indulgence and I'll get back on topic...)

Just a question, Do you know a guy called Greg Bird? he works at the airport in the flight control area. LOL I know there is no chance... but never know?
What business do you run?

PS: Send PM;)

Hey Tyc, 'sup brother?

You know, whether you liked Michael Schumacher or not you have to admit that the guy was responsible (win or lose) for the most spectacular moments in Formula 1.

Nope, Senna and later Montoya were spectacular, Schumacher only one some ocasions = his races in the wet in the 1990s. Mostly it was boredom, that's why the audience took a dive till 2005.

Schumi was always there in the thick of it - sometimes controversially I concede - making Formula 1 worth watching. Either you wanted him to win or you wanted his boxer short handed to him on a platter: the point is, Michael Schumacher was Formula 1's frame of reference for 13 years!

Nope, the other way around. When I saw Schumacher damaging Hill's car in 1994 and thus taking the title I said to myself I can't watch this crap anymore. And that's just one in quite a list.

So tell me, this year who's the one to beat? Who's that new F1 reference icon? Fernando? Could be... but I'm not convinced - when his car isn't competitive he seems to be content with sitting back and taking some points.

And Schumacher, by contrast, in 2005 has done, what exactly ?!

Kimi, sheesh what talent - but does he ever blow and hot and cold! One minute he's motivated, the next, in the kitty litter. I hope some historical Ferrari reliability can give him the resolve to attack the championship like never before!

It just seems that way, he's not a guy that gives up or is destroyed by failure. He's got flaws, but lack of motivation isn't one of them, he just lacked the right material.

Yes, I agree, it's time for the young drivers to compete equally amongst each other and not collectively against the benchmark - Michael Schumacher.

As a driver Schumacher isn't the benchmark. He is the benchmark however as a package (big diference).

Kimi may have the same problem he has been having for years, too quick and hard on equipment. If Ferrari build him a tank he will be the man to beat, if Alonso is true to his history he will show that a smooth fast driver can make the McLaren-Mercedes fly and be durable. Never count out Flavio and whichever driver he has, but, when push comes to shove the last four races, it will be Kimi and Fernando slugging it out.
:t-drive:

Well, it seems most of you backed the right horse...

Well it all came down to luck on Sunday...but honestly, as a Kimi fan, I'm really happy. Now I can finally buy a Ferrari Jacket that says "Kimi Raikkonen - World Champion" :t-cheers:
