Regional Where Have you Been?

What I found incredibly odd about Southern California was the openness of the people there. Unlike Swedes they were all open, friendly and talkative. Very lovely atmophere, especially for me who enjoy meeting new people.

But when people got behind the wheel of a car something happens, them transform into some Megatron road demons:D. Don't know if it's because of the pollution in the air or the dry weather. 100% concrete jungle, zero manners, zero respect and a hectic state of mind. Having spent many hours in traffic over there, there is no way I would dare to drive a motor bike on the roads, people are not only devils but they also don't know how to drive.

SoCal, especially LA, are known for their idiotic drivers. I'll tell you a little secret...People in CA can't drive for sh!t period. I can say that because I got my license in Washington, LOL.

That's interesting. On the East Coast (NJ, NY, D.C. and Philly) the other drivers were unbelievably friendly. The traffic flowed much better than in what were used to.

When bought my car and started driving I though that all American's drove like people do in SoCal. But a meet a woman who had lived in a different state and told me that traffic where she lived is nothing like it in SoCal.

People don't even open up for you when you want to change lane, even if you have indicated that you are going to change lane nobody cares. Since I'm a warrior I adapted. Instead of indicting that I wanted to change lane ,I just cut in forcing, and it worked:D

It was like going from hell to heaven when I was back driving on the roads here in Sweden.

One of the first things my dad taught me when I was learning to drive is how to force a lane change...and that is what I use every day. People in california don't really understand the meaning of indicators. While traffic in other states isn't perfect, people are still courteous enough to let you in a lane or something when you indicate...not in cali, especialy the prius drivers...I hate them. :t-cheers:

California now 3 times for neurosurgical conferences and three Medtronic courses in New York... Been to busy to see anything really except for a game of golf once.... I'm planning on returning for a holiday within the next two years
