So, another win in this price bracket for the TT
its sixth consecutive triumph. Is that remarkable?
Yes and no. Of course it’s astonishing for any car to score such a succession of victories, but not so surprising when you consider how good the TT is.
Even after all these years, it remains a stunning car to look at, but what will really steal your heart is the way it drives. The turbocharged engine is as strong as it is flexible and the handling is agile – this is a proper sports car by anyone’s definition – but what you might not expect are the comfortable ride and decent refinement.
Throw in the gorgeous interior, generous standard equipment and strong resale values, courtesy of the desirability that’s guaranteed by the Audi badge, and you end up with a car that we can happily recommend you invest your money in.
A host of companies – from Nissan and Peugeot to BMW and Porsche – continue to try to muscle in on the TT’s market, but they all fall short. Not one even comes close to matching the Audi’s abilities.
