What do you drive. Manual or Automatic?

I have only owned manual cars for more than 10 years and always liked it. I dont find the pleasure to drive automatic cars. Gearboxes like SMG is fun though, I rather choose SMG over standard automatics.

I prefer Manual since Automatic trannys are extremly boring. Though I have to say that SMG and DSG seem to be very convinient.

Manual- BMW Z4 sport w. 5spd.
I live in the city and it can be a chore at times, rowing thru the gears from stoplight to stoplight...but hey, w. an automatic I feel like I'm a spectator and driving turns into something less involved...less about why I love to drive.
When you have a great engine mated to a great transmission the experience is much more intense...
In a world where so much is out of your control, I can't imagine why anyone would want to drive an automatic...it seems so passive.
SMG and the other variations are cool w. me but my experience with those set-ups is after awhile you keep the trans in automatic mode. zzzzzzzzz

For me ever since I was small I always looks at manual cars as true cars. I have never owned an automatic, though my father and girlfriend do, I personally will try to always drive manual because it feels so much fun, you have so much more control, and its truly, in my opinion, the true transmission that goes with performance.

M5 comes with manual later but it doesnt matter cause Audiholic would never choose M5 cause he finds the car ugly

My last manual was my '98 Z3.

The S430 auto-shifter has a sweet look and feel. I like it when I need a boost and tick the shifter to the left to upshift....

My driver car, a 93 jeep cherokee happens to be a automatic. But Ima going to cry and bitch and moan until I can get a manual. I love the feeling of manual transmissions. Hell, I taught myself.

No but I have driven an Audi that had CVT transmission. Felt pretty strange not to feel any gear changes at all. A bit unnatural. If you looking for the smoothest possible transmission, that's it.

I did however drive a Cooper with CVT and found it a little annoying. It felt like a rubber band...
