What cars do your family members drive?

Yes, he does, thankfully. But as you know, Chrysler is not doing too well and all the jobs are in jeopardy, but as of now, we are doing well.
A lot of people are getting laid off, and that is partially the reason for not buying a Mercedes for me.

Driving possision hight M6, 1,5 m over the tarmac!
Driving possision hight 30 cm over the tarmac!

M6 is one hell of a mean machine & we all adore it:bowdown:

R8 is the lowrider which gives you the feeling og scratching

Update:

- I still have my 1974 MB 450SLC (and love it more than ever).
- Dad is trading its W164 ML320cdi for a ... Lexus RX400h (he's gonna drive it mainly on highways...:D)
- Bro had to change its e46 M3 (Supersprint exhaust) for an FL e46 330d, fully-loaded with M-package, because of speeding tickets... He couldn't stand it more than a month.

He now has an e36 M3, sedan, silver, fully loaded with all-Nappa Individual red interior, with red carbon-fiber trim (not holding up well) and chrome surroundings at some places. Looks very nice, this interior.

I must say the steering feel is considerably better than e46 M3's, and the car is more brutish: the fully mechanical LSD is not nearly as progressive as the smart one of the e46. Not as easy to drive, the drift is not as gentle and progressive as the e46.
Feels faster and more powerful than the e46.
He's gonna upgrade the brakes soon and then change the exhaust.

Wait...what? What the hell is the point of the Hybrid if your dad is mainly doing highway driving? It just negates the purpose since hybrid is only good for slower speeds.

Congrats to your bro on the E36. I used to have one, and I know exactly what you mean. It definitely is more brutish than the E46. The E46 is more refined and daily drivable than the E36, though I never had an issue with my E36 as my daily driver. Hell, I even took that car on long trips. My car had Vader seats and were wonderful for long drives as well as hard driving. :t-cheers:

NO!!! ML320CDI will be much better on the highway then the hybrid. The hybrid will not perform as good since it has more weight with the batteries, which will also not be used on the highway so there is no point to get the hybrid.

If he was driving in stop and go traffic all the time then maybe the hybrid would work better.
Besides if he gets the Lexus hybrid you will be BANNED

Well that is exactly what I told him, but...well...:t-hands:

He loved the ML but was afraid not to sell it at a good price with all the eco-hate talk towards SUVs, so he chose the Lexus...
I don't know when i'll get to drive or see it. He told me it's a black one with grey interior, and President Package...

You are right. We have yet to se a test that shows that a hybrid is better for real world driving than a modern diesel. I guess that will not happen in a long time.

If you are even contemplating taking your car to a road with a speed limit above 60 mph you should always steer clear of todays hybrids as they are so far behind in that department that I don't know if they even measure to 90's technology in diesel cars.

P.S. We did a very non-scientific test comparing a current Mercedes 220 CDi with a 2008 Prius and the Prius was so far behind in terms of highway driving consumption it was silly.
