What about M3 F80? It is faster than both R8 V8 and M6 GC, costs less and has manual, is practical.

Had an E92 M3 convertible. Too ordinary. Probably faster than the R8 V8 straight line, but surely slower than the 4.4L. Working on a deal with Audi, might be able to the the V10. It's close.
