Hello everyone,

I hope you guys can help me at all..

Basically i have a 2001 W203 C220 CDI Avantgarde 143hp or 105kW.

Last week i noticed that my car was starting to blow a lot of black smoke when starting up and when accelerating. Also seems to be quite rough in the idle on and off though. Also fuel consumption has gone up.

So being a diesel with slight rough idle and excessive fuel, my 1st thought was the injectors were bad. So i took all four injectors out and took them to be tested and checked. Turns out 2 of 4 injector were poor. so i got the repaired and ultrasonically cleaned as well as restested. so for about £100 i was now better off we 4 good injectors. So I thought....

I have fitted the injectors and took it for a drive today (new copper washers and new injector bolts of course). However, i am noticing that my car is still blowing excessive black smoke. consumption marginally better.

Do i now look at the EGR or vacuum lines? can anyone else please help me?

As I feel embarrassed to drive my very much loved car..

Please help
