I wonder what a modern F1 car could run if someone actually went balls-out in one rather than showboating.

LOL, no. Doesn't work that way. But an electric Bugatti will certainly use some of this tech....but every VAG car will, including Skoda.

Although there will be component sharing and economies of scale, a VW I.D won’t have the same drive train as a flagship hyper car.

There are a different batteries and motors depending on range, packaging and energy deployment requirements.
 
The drivetrain is in a league of its own. Battery tech is the barrier to commercialising the motors and system.
 
As spectafantabulous as the I.D. R is, VAG will be well advised to address the various software snafus that have been plaguing the launch/deliveries of its' future bread-and-butter MEB-platformed I.D. vehicles. Impatient customers and awake competitors will not be forgiving.

Have you read the analyse of a Japanese organisation concerning that matter and published by Der Spiegel. They compared Toyota, VW and Tesla. They discovered that Tesla is using only one processor for activities for which VW is using 70 processors and due to this they have all the software nightmares.

Not exactly. It's not a matter of simplicity but of technology and software. According to the study they and Toyota are 6 years behind Tesla in this field (and according to me 10 years behind in electric motor technology).
