Everything strongly indicates towards that.
Thomas Ingelath and Max Missoni took their feeling of clean, teutonic design from VW to Volvo, where it could adapt a much more emotional form than they were allowed to do at VAG, where every brand hat to serve a certain purpose, thus limiting the design teams and forcing them to think in a grid.
Really looking forward to what's coming.

I am glad they are getting rid of the amorphous headlights the newest gen of Volvos been sporting. Now only if a certain German brand would do the same, the world would be a better place.

(LEDs running through the headlights seem to be a growing fashion in the headlight treatments)

Btw, I didn`t realize how close the S60 was so close it`s concept. (really close in fact.)

It is.
There are photos of a design presentation where they show the front and rear of the Volvo XC90 replacement which totally adopts this face with a very interesting rear end interpretation still evoking the high placed rear lights that form with the actual lines on the car.
We have a Volvo S60 which is my wife's company car in the same vibrant copper as the concept inside it is very Swedish , minimalist and an almost high end furniture look to some of the detailing. It is not that interesting to drive as the looks might suggest.

The Concept is on my list to visit at the upcoming IAA.

The secret... there should be some sort of info about this. I had some hope for the Volvo YOU concept.
I did not keep up with the YOU. From my understanding that concept, (or some abstract form of it) never saw the light of day.

Looks like this concept and it`s ideas might be the new corporate face of Volvo.
