Well, then the S40/V50 should be a great handling car as well, and it isn't, it's more composed than anything else. As far as the Focus ST engine, it is indeed a Volvo T5 motor (same engine in my car, just slightly bigger capacity, it's quite old to be honest). In a years time or so the Volvo five cylinder will cease to exsist, and a more punchy six will be standard fare across the range including the C30. The reason why I posted the Mazdaspeed MPS 3 article is because it shows just how tunable and exploitable the C1 platform truly is, an LSD option on the C30 would most definately improve traction and throttle response (something my car longs for).
