I am at two ends of a stick here, got a budget of what Im wanting to spend on a car/insurance.

Been looking at a Volvo C30 1.6d r-design, nice high spec car which is cheap to run. But other car went and test drove a new Skoda Fabia VRS 1.4 tsi 180bhp which was just mindblowing fast for what it is. Turns out the VRS is 700quid cheaper to insure (crazy)at same price as the C30. Tho being dam quick and petrol, will cost a lot to run and may loose my license.

Is speed worth it? What you guys go for? I still in college in uni soon sooo what will be best...

OR any other suggestions? :)

I think the Skoda Fabia VRS might be a good deal. Skodas are great value for money and very reliable. The Fabia is a good car and I can imagine the VRS being probably the most "fun" Fabia to drive. It would be my pick.

The Volvo C30 is nice but in terms of design it has become quite boring quickly in my opinion.

At the end of the day the decision is up to you. Both your choices are good IMO. :t-cheers:

There is nothing that takes away the fun of driving like not having the money to run the car. Go for the car that you can financially run the most comfortably... ...or you can go for a MINI :D Could you fit a bit of metrosexuallity in your personality? ;-)

Think you are all right, think running costs are more important than speed!

And dr, I love mini Cooper S so much. I drove a JCW GP the other week and all I can say is wow.
