This is a driving school car in my town. My sister made her license on this car. I was able to testdrive it too and it's a fun car. AWD and a powerful engine and slick 6-speed manual. Great car for Autobahn Training. :D

I did my actual test on a Nissan Sentra 1.3 FE. Looked like this. Slow as hell. :eek2:

So that's basically an Almera with a different nose? I had a couple of lessons in an Almera too... not exactly what I'd call exciting.

Here in my hometown, there is also a driving school with a BMW 118d...but the Golf 1.9 TDI was fast enough...185 km/h. :D

And with a STRUGGLING 1.3-l 4-cylinder under the hood, you know what I went through.

It is amazing, that these driving schools have such expensive cars...especially a Jaguar (surely with leather seats, xenon lights, navigation system etc.)! :D

And then you have your driving license and your parents "only" drive (as an example) a Golf V 1.4 with 75hp. It must be a shock...at once the car is slow and you don't have any comfort feature at all... :D

Nice pics Chris. How would you compare this Golf with the current generation in terms of the interior? I never did get to sit in a MkIV Golf...

All driving school cars are mainly cheaper trim level models, including the Jaguar. :usa7uh:

Thanks. :t-cheers:

I think the interiors of both the previous and current Golf's are the same. I don't see any difference in quality. I know a lot of people claim the current Golf has a cheapened interior but I just don't see it. IMHO, it looks like VW is using the same materials they used on the last Golf on the current one. ;)
