Does VW have problems? Weren't problems limited to french and italian cars like some magazines like to make us believe? Weren't VWs the holy grail of reliability, build quality and "ownership experience" ? Oh, the horror!

Yes here in Australia apparently a woman's golf stalled at an intersection and she got hit by a truck and died. Absolutely tragic! Despite knowing about the issue for some time, VW Australia has only just announced the recall.

The news and owner complains have been snowballing for the past few weeks in Australia, I just don't have time to post them in here. but from their accounts it is quite a scary experience.
