James Riswick (you'll know him as the Canadian who introduces himself in every video despite his name being at the bottom) mocks me constantly for preferring the route to Vegas through Death Valley. Sure, it's nearly 9 hours compared with just about 4 and the mileage is something like 400 compared with 260, but Death Valley is cool. Well, not cool, extremely hot.

And that's why BMW -- and everyone else -- uses it for testing. It's got hills, too. This is part of the reason modern cars don't sit on the side of the highway sputtering fluids anymore.

This isn't much of a spy video per se, but there're cars in camo and engineers talking about hot weather idling. It's more interesting than it sounds.
