Veyron killer from Porsche

The 412 is beautiful, probably couldn't get it to work. that would hurt alot of brands as for supercar generality.

According to reports Horatio Pagani was closely involved in the ME412's development. Had DC persisted I think that it would've put the frighteners on the Bugatti big time though without necessarily surpassing it.

Nope, for now the Bugatti Veyron (which I still think looks like a bloated toad in a two-tone tuxedo - oops I can't say that now can I? ) is the pinnacle of hypercar performance. There just isn't anything like it, irrespective of its merits as a "true" (a subjective concept) supercar. The first purpose-designed production road car to achieve 400 km/h. Awesome.

For a big frog. ;) :D

This is Schuppan 962 CR, it has Porsche badge...As the name says, it's probably made on Dauer 962 base...it costs 2,5 mill $, 600 hp, 216 mph...

Yes, but that's not a purebred production Porsche so it doesn't count. Neither does the Dauer 962. These are aftermarket cars that leverage off the expertise of Zuffenhausen engineering excellence.

You never know, Porsche might go with the "bloated" look too.

its an artpiece from Erwin Wurm. I heard this car might make it into the new museum porsche is planning.

Porsche 962 is the race car and various different firms seperately made road versions of it. Dauer is just the most known and probably the best of the companies that did them. Nobody is leeching off of anyone. You wouldn't be wrong to call it a Porsche Dauer 962 or simply Dauer 962, but you couldn't call it simply a Porsche 962.

I have a couple good pics, but the file sizes are too large to allow me to upload them.

The car is fast though, doing 0-200 km/h in 7.3 seconds according to a Dauer spec sheet from a show back in 1995.
