A3/S3/RS3 VERY nice A3 Sportback

The Audi A3 is a small family car (C-segment) manufactured and marketed by Audi AG since September 1996. The first two generations of the Audi A3 were based on the Volkswagen Group A platform, while the third and fourth generations use the Volkswagen Group MQB platform.
no i would take the a3 in black over any bmw anyday it looks so much better. no one can compete with audi's wagon type cars

you probably forgot the 1er

Do you reallt think that I forgot?? Seariously, the 1er next to the Sportback is just a proove of beutiful, and strange design. The beemer being the strange one of course.

The BMW is far more interesting and nicer to look at IMO. This A3 is nice, where's it from?

It's got Swedish plates saying "unknown". :cwm1:

I'm not a fan of those wheels and the car seems just a bit too low for my taste...

Looks great. :usa7uh:

On the other hand I'd prefer more titanium coloured wheels, like these which are available for the new RS4. I'm not a friend of polished rims and would prefer a a more 'dirty look' with a pinch of brake dust :D

I see everyday a 118. It is parked outside my house and this is the best thing to make my day! It is absolutely GORGEOUS. I like it. It is strange thoung, but this is why i like it. It looks so unfamiliar

there is no use arguin over what design that you like most because you cant change someones idea on it because thats a matter of personal preference they are both great cars its just a matter of what you like more :t-cheers:

Looking good, the best car in it's class.

But I still loath it because it's a hatchback.

Nicest A3 I've seen yet...

On a side note, how is the A3 doing here in the states? Anyone know?

It would appear that the A3 is nothing more than a passing curiousity stateside. Then again, compact hatches like the A3 aren't a transportation staple here like they are in Germany and the rest of Europe. It's really a shame that Audi gets such a tough break in the US.

Hopefully sales will be really poor... then I can slime my way into a smoking hot deal at the Audi dealership!

Personally I find the A3 to be an extremely attractive car. What's nice is that the car looks every bit as sharp and expensive as the rest of the Audi lineup. Nothing about it makes you think "budget" when you put it up against the rest of its siblings. The 1er certainly looks more "dynamic" than the A3, but weather or not it looks better or not is heavily dependent upon how it's hooked up. A non-xenon 1er with hubcappy wheels can look pretty drab whereas one with all the fixins' looks great.

But one must admit, wether or not a 1er is hooked up, at the very least it still looks TONS more interesting than the A3, which though attractive, does very little to move the eye. I would think that if BMW sold the 1er hatch here in the states that it would in fact do well for a variety of reasons, cheif among them of course would be that it's a BMW.

On another side note, I sent you a PM sometime ago Osna, did you get it?

FOr me it's exactly the way around. I find nothing, absolutely nothing interesting in the 1er. I would even pick a Opel Astra before that one.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
