Hey guys,

Alfa has been testing a possbile replacement for the 166 & rumors are floating arround about a concept or the real thing to be displayed in Geneva in the coming fews days. Here is a CGI by an italian magazine. Rumors are saying the new car will be based on RWD platform borrowed from the magnificent Maserati Quattroporte. The powertrain is also a Maserati based V8 with lower output.

The real deal was spotted somewhere in spain. Although the pics are blurry but so far from what it can seen, the car is promising.

Looks pretty hot.

Do we see a trend here that started off with the Mercedes CLS? :D

Humm, actually we see a revival of this segment started by the CLS. The Italians did attack this segment before but was not a success. The old Quatroporte, some nice alfas...

Those old Quattroporte's were hot.

For some strange reason, I saw a lot of them when I vacationed at the Garda Lake in Italy. I couldn't spare camera space for them though. :t-banghea

Alfa took first the 8C which is drop-dead sexy, and now this... Maserati is certainly doing wonders for Alfa.

But, I don't think I'll put my deposit down for an Alfa, especially for such a high-end model... I don't trust their reliability just yet.

It has improved big time. Generally, Alfa's tend to be quite reliable although their electrical reliability from what I gather is still pretty tricky. Their mechanical reliability has improved greatly.:usa7uh:

Auto Motor und Sports 100,000 km test of an Alfa 156 revealed mostly some electrical problems.

I dunno, electrical reliability is still reliability in the end, and I won't touch an Alfa for such a high price still.

in sweden you can get a used Alfa for a cheap price. They dont keep their value here very well.

I meant the upcoming 168/169 which is likely to be pricier than most Alfa models currently on sale now. :usa7uh:

Wow, that is nice. This is what they should use as their comeback to the U.S. Anything close to those sketches will be gorgeous.
