Despite only 29 Ferrari FXX supercars being produced and offered to an exclusive club of long-time Ferrari collectors, one of the beautiful masterpieces was recently sold for a cool €2.6 million. For anyone not acquainted with the FXX, the car is in fact a development test-bed for new technologies that will eventually filter across to Ferrari’s future road cars and anyone who owns one gets some dedicated track time at Ferrari’s own Fiorano test track with a pit crew and all.

The original owner of the FXX is based in Yokohama, Japan, and the car hadn’t been updated to the most recent Evoluzione spec. This, however, didn’t deter bidders in the auction, which evidently was held in Dubai.

What’s amazing is that to originally qualify as a potential buyer of an FXX one would have to have already owned several V12 powered Ferraris and have some very close ties with the carmaker, which makes us wonder why they would sell one of the most desirable cars on the planet in the first place.

Recently, there was 50th LEGO anniversary, right? Well, i'd rather spend 100 $ on a nice LEGO box and make myself one, than pay 2,6 million for this piece of c**p when in any case you get the same.;)

:t-cheers:
