Ed sent us the top pic pilfered from the Transformers Live Action Blog and judging by the roofline, headlights and taillights, you're looking at the first picture of the production Chevy Volt. Not proof enough? Click on the image above and look closely at the metal plate in front of the sideview mirror. It's emblazoned with the four letters that spell out GM's savior. The Volt it is. Our boys at AutoblogGreen have already called upon the General's minions for a comment, but no response has been delivered to our inbox... yet.

Reader Spy: Chevy Volt caught on set of Transformers 2 - Autoblog

I can't stress the importance of this car for GM and U.S. auto industry as a whole. The is the answer to the Toyota Prius and if it takes off like the Toyota did, GM will score a major hit image, and they might even make a little money from it too.

Cool. I must admit that I've never even heard of this car before today.

Since I hate the prius with passion (econazy fakely green car shaped like if it was out of some poultry's @ss) I just hope this car will take over zee world.

But it seems you need an MIT diploma to understand what's up with the center console... soo many buttons... Do people still use car for... moving... or it's just the new entertainment room of the house ?

re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Movie Thread (Info, pics & trailers)

thanks for the info! Does the engine recharge the battery or can you plug this thing in?

re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Movie Thread (Info, pics & trailers)

Yes the engine recharges the batteries, and yes it can be plugged in to recharge.

Tell em Marcus! This car can be a turning point for America. Not only will this car be a hybrid but also a semi/hatch rather than a big bloated magnum. There no denying that it has the potential of revolutionizing the American auto market. Heck even P.Diddy has problems with increasing fuel costs. He said this the other day.

“Gas prices are too motherf**king high” blogs Diddy. “As you know, I do own my own jet and I have been having flying back and forth to LA pursuing my acting career.

“Now, if I’m flying back and forth, like, twice in a month that’s like $200,000 or $250,000 round trip. F**K that. I’m back on American Airlines. “

“I want to give a shout out to all my Saudi Arabian brothers and sisters and all my brothers and sisters from all the countries that have oil,”

“If you could all please send me some oil for my jet I would truly appreciate it.”

The elitist mentality has finally entered GCF. Makes me cringe.

Anyone looking to Puff a diddy pop or whatever he goes by these days, for intellectual stimulating thought... might need their head checked. Those quotes if true make him seem like a pompous arrogant fool that represents everything that is wrong with the American Dream.

I can't say I like it one bit. :eusa_doh:It's futuristic and all but I prefer the next Corvette to be more of an evolution of the current one rather than something radically different as this.
