Hi. I am looking for two things for my 2008 AMG G55.

1. A trailer hitch or a hint where to find one.

2. I purchased a kit that has the chrome bars going underneath the rear bumper (2 chrome tubes, one for either side, similar to the one piece underneath the front bull-bar).
I need installation instruction to attach those two pieces. They each come with three black mounting brackets that I can't figure out. The seller, who is very nice, doesn't have instructions. I'd really appreciate help for both of my questions. Thanks.

They've never heard of it .

My dealer has never heard of that for the G500 or G55. Only for GL or ML.
:t-cheers:

No pics of the chrome tube. They look like two "L" shaped pieces of chrome, same diameter as the (one piece) front one, plus 2 x 3 brackets in fashionable black coating.

I have seen G500/G55 with trailer hitches, so yes parts department should be able to look it up for you.
If your dealership doesn't know what its doing, there are plenty more in your area that should. Should also be able to get you instructions on the parts you already have.

Hitch.

Funny that you should live in Vegas. That's were I saw the only one with a hitch and a roof rack here in the US. Couldn't make out if it was a 500 or 55. I saw many Geländewagen in Germany :t-cheers:, with all kinds of accessories not available in this country. I think I'll check with a different dealer here in Jersey. Thanks a bunch.

I remember seeing at least one G55? with a trailer hitch, from the factory. They installed the hitch and pinched one of the wires going back to the tail lights.

Today I went to a dealer. MB only lists a hitch assembly for a G500 and specifically mentions that it's not for AMG G55. They gave me a printout of those sheets. :t-banghea
