... for a SV Autobiography.
Considered two alternatives (Panamera & Ghost Series I ). I simply couldn't find a Panamera in the right color combination with the right options. The Ghost is starting to show it's age and it's a bit too conspicuous for everyday use. Didn't look at the S-Class or competitors this time as I have an allocation for a facelift S63 Coupé due roughly May/June 2018 or when MBUSA decides...
I can't think of a better "do anything" vehicle. It's as much at home in NYC as it is in the Hudson Highlands. Went for the new SWB SVO Dynamic as I need a rear folding bench to haul materials.
Switched the liquid chrome wheels for a more timeless and rugged silver.
Obligatory front side window tint:
Welcomed additions:
- The new Autobiography leather work is quite amazing in person. Quilted contrast-stitching and a perforated black leather headliner.
- Nearly very nob is knurled metal and all brightwork is metal.
- A 21st century 10.2-in infotainment system. Years of universal owner complains addressed by Land Rover quietly and effectively.
- At the switch of a button it sounds like a F-Type R. Though admittedly obnoxious for a full size RR, I found myself giggling in sport mode with windows down driving through the Holland tunnel early in the morning.
- Even with 22 in wheels and lower ride height, the ride is incredibly smooth.
Outgoing Autobiography when I took delivery Fall 2014:
