Rolls-Royce Phantom

Bentley Arnage

Bentley Continental Flying Spur

Maybach 62

Maybach 57

Another battle between BMW fans and Mercedes Fans :D RR or Maybach

Maybach all the way! It seems this topic had discussed a lot on previous forums.
PS: Thanks for readjusting the layout of the board. It's more clean now. :usa7uh:

In my book:

1-RR
2-Bentley
3-Maybach

Maybach is essentially a previous generation S class and has a weak brand name because it doesn't have the long uninterupted history of the other two.

the phantom is a wierd looking car , and the maybach is not an exculsive looking car,, they both have great looking interior , but il vote the maybach 62 because i sat in it and i have been drivin in it , and all i can is wow unbellievable comfort, i felt like im in a castle :D it was sooo roomy...

As far as i am concerned , there is nothing weird about Phantom's design. It's just how a RR should look like. The huge grille, the long body , the square lights are all part of their tradition.

i have nuthing agaisnt the front , but the rear Dude :werd:

I've only seen the maybach in real-life but that cars is ugly
Ive only seen the phantom on pics but the car looks cool with a very huge presence.

I wouldn't call the Maybach a beautiful car also. Perhaps in the uber luxury segment presence is more important than elegance.

i have seen both i liked them but not much ...
i have seen the maybach at my brothers dealler , the guy who works there has a freind that owns a maybach he even took us for a ride :t-drive: he didnt allow any of us to drive it ...

i have seen the RR IRL too at sunset but it was just passing , i didnt have the chance to check it good...

While looking somewhat like the previous generation W220 S-Class the Maybach is not based on that model. MB engineers have poined this out
to the press when thay designed this car.

Can say the same for Maybach... Or better, longer and wider W220 S with more buttons! ;)

RR of course!

:t-cheers:

I'm not going to comment, as these pictures will say it all.

The Phantom dwarfs every other car in real life. Even a Maybach 62 looks much smaller next to it.

Lucky you posted those pics, Rnds. On the basis of the few in the first post, I'd have easily said the Maybach is a better looking car. It might not have the presence of the RR - which achieves it through its design of yesteryear coupled with sheer size emphasised all the more by its slabbiness - but it looks simply pleasantly large and sleek. The Maybach doesn't look 'bad', IMO, by any stretch of the imagination. However, the RR looks quite distinctive. The only thing I don't like is the curve of the crease on the lower part of the doors - the 'convex' nature of it often makes the car look bloated. It would have been better perhaps straight, or perhaps with a 'concave' curve, I don't know. But not convex.

I can't say I like the Bentley a lot, though. A bit bland. IMO :D Derivative, once seeing the Conti GT - of course, perhaps they're meant to be, considering they were designed at the same time, and part of a family of sorts.. but even so, not enough design features to make me like it.

Thanks, I have now. :D I actually passed by it before. That burgundy Rolls looks quite good. Still, that's with the works in terms of studio lighting and such.

In normal light, the crease I was talking about it rather evident, though I'm sure that on a quick glance that's the last thing you're really looking at. And the taillights are somewhat underwhelming given the impact of the rest of the car.

I chosed the RR because it is the only car that can do it, man.

It just defines succinctly what the whole segment of ultra-lux road tanks are all about.

RR Phantom....no doubt

BTW, on IAA I've seen those 3 cars in few hours (about 2 RRs, 7 Maybachs and 3 Bentleys) and Phantom is just beautiful and as klier said, even Maybach looks small next to it...RR, the KING.
