Three American hikers (morons) were hiking along the Iraq/Iran border a year ago and were kidnapped by Iranian troops and two are still being held.
If one had been me (would not have) I would be dead, no way around it.

But if I were to go in that area, helmet, bullet proof vest, M4, M2, M9 and armored vehicle is some of what I would require.
But hey I would probably get a good tan... if I took of the vest.
