The Zonda is the Peter Pan of supercars, it will never die and is the closest thing there is to travelling to never never land!

As far as this car is concerned, its a Pagani. Hence, it must be something to drop your jaws at. Absolute beauty. I wonder who will be the lucky owner.

Best. soundtrack. ever.

The sound when it gains and loses revs, the high-end scream, the overrun, deep rumble. It's just beyond Everything!

If costbeing equal, I'd take this over a Huayra any day. There's something more brutal about how it goes about everything....the style, both inside and outside, the sound, the power delivery. The Huarya is so much more polished that I feel like I would have to be covered from head to toe inone of those sterile room suits as to not make a mark or breathe on it. And I'd feel even more paranoid about driving it as it's the paragon of world-class automotive craftmanship. With the Zonda I'd be worried, but I'd still want to trash the bejeebus out of it.

To paraphrase an old automotive saying....the Huayra be would the gal you'd marry and show off about town. The Zonda 760 is the naughty mistress you want to have fun at night, away from prying eyes. ;-)

BTW, I posted in this Lewis Hamilton GL320 thread (http://www.germancarforum.com/commu...-cdi-as-daily-driver.26958/page-2#post-582644), but figure this is a better place to post it...

Where did they source the manual transmission for Hamilton's ride? What's the torque figure on the 760hp version of the AMG 7.0L V12?

EDIT: 7.3L, not 7.0L. Also took the time to look at the spec sheet in the EVO article: 575 lb-ft @4500 rpm

Hoffmeister,

instinctively I suspect the manual is the same or a modified version of the Cima box found in the Zonda F. I'll see if I can find more info later tonight though.

Lewis Hamilton just posted the engine bay cover of his Zonda. Mercedes probably rather see him post photos of an A-Class 160 CDI or something.
