I just voted for Porsche. My choise is mostly based on design. Well, IMO, the Cayenne loos better than the ML63.
Then i thought about the engines. HP doesn't count for me since 17 horses is not such a big difference and since both cars have more than 500 HP they are powerful enough. Other than that, anytime i would choose the smaller enging, mainly for economy reasons.

Although the ML63 had the better exterior I prefer the Caynne because it's simply much more special. The faster acceleration offered by the ML isn't enough to comete with the superb handling offered by the beloved and praised Cayenne Turbo.

I whole heartedly agree with you... but I just simply cannot get over the looks of the car! I believe that in terms of performance, the Cayenne executes that better than any other car on the road and is suprisingly good off road. But I just cannot stand the looks... they tried way too hard to make it look like a 911. In that area, I give the Cayenne a 1.5 out of 5...

Of these two the ML is the clear choice, even though I'm not a fan of the car. The Cayenne is a disgrace, an exercise in marketing and a way to cash in on the Porsche brand. You might argue that the Merc is no different but hey, that's something we've gotten used to...

Beleive me when I said this "The Cayenne could have looked better". The day I realised that it doesn't look that good is when I saw in on the same street it's rivals the X5, RR sport and ML(all in the same colours). Since the car is one hell of a performer I can forgive it for it's looks. Though one can make it look better by buying a Gamballa kit.

Ok, I`ve been away for awhile so excuse my ignorance but how do we know the Porsche is the better performer. Have the two been compared in a test!?


Anyway I voted for the ML63! I can stant this Porsche Cayenne. It`s way too much 911 for an SUV and too bloated.

No they haven't been compared directly. Though there hasn't been any reports about the standard ML begin as sporty as the a Cayenne V6. On top of that MB is MB and they will probably never produce a car that is sportier than a Porsche.

sure they havent been tested and thats why i said i believe that the porshe is faster. but i think if these cars were on twisty roads its a given that the porsche would win because the stearing is better and sportier. not sure about strait line although even though id go for the porsche winnig

I think the Ml63 is still faster in straight line...but on a track it would be demolished

Cayenne Turbo S for me simply because I'd like to own one. I have an MB car already and that's probably why I have grown somewhat indifferent to the brand, as great as the Mercedes cars are. And they are fantastic. But then again, so are all the German car premium brands. I would guess that for myself both cars would be pretty much equal in most respects. Porsche just happens to be the one that I would like to have.

well they are suv´s and i couldnt care less about handling.. so give me the ML..its faster in a straight line.. it looks better.. it is a newer modell.. so ML all the way
