The Porsche Taycan Turbo GT certainly doesn’t hold back when it comes to breaking records. After setting records at both the Nürburgring Nordschleife and California’s Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca, the Taycan Turbo GT, equipped with the Weissach package, has now conquered the 5.4 kilometre Shanghai International Circuit. With Porsche development driver Lars Kern at the helm, it posted a stunning record lap time of 2:11.28 minutes.

They revealed this in the last month's issue of the magazine, right? I must say I don't really get how things are being done now. It's like, we did some laps! Now wait for months, and perhaps completely forget about it altogether, before you can actually see them!

At this point I have to think that no lap times is a prerequisite to getting loaners for tests.

BTW, in 2014 Top Gear printed this in their Speed Week article. Needless to say, they never published those lap times.

750S had multiple sets of Trofeo R, GT3 RS came with just one set of Cup 2 R, the other two were on slicks.
