So, Thrawn get's caught up in this too...

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

Can't help but think they're going somewhere with all this, and it's somewhere that might be it's own show. Or film.

Wonder if Ezra will make an appearance in this season.

Well, I called it on the Jango exposition if nothing else.

Glad Robert Rodriguez got this episode!

Yes. All that was missing was Salma Hayek.

There will be an Ashoka original series on Disney+, same timeline as the Mandalorian

I’m not sure in the release date, but the ahsoka show and rangers of the new republic are going to intertwine with each other.

Excited for Hayden to reprise his role.

That seismic charge tho!

Yeah that was a pretty epic news drop last night. We'll see how it pans out.

As for the latest chapter of the Mandalorian. It was fun, I'm glad they're keeping the pace moving nicely, they're not dragging anything out for the sake of tension.

Seismic charge was indeed cool!

Seems like the Rangers, Ahsoka, Lando and maybe even Kenobi will be in the same timeline as the Mandalorian, or maybe start earlier/later, but somehow tie into one story in the end. This was the main excitement behind the marvel movies, I would suppose they gonna do it here as well.

Lando and maybe even Kenobi will be in the same timeline as the Mandalorian

The Mandalorian is a few years after Return of the Jedi, Kenobi will be pre-A New Hope. Both Obi-Wan and Anakin/Vader are long dead by the time of the Mandalorian. Lando could go anywhere, but it's either going to be between Solo and Empire, or post Rise of Skywalker IMHO, probably the former in the absence of Solo 2.

The tie-in event will most likely be to do with Thrawn, IMHO.

I subscribed to Disney+ mainly for the films I hadn't seen, but now it looks like I'll be continuing next year.

Thanks for the details, I just got the impression that the Mandalorian is pre A new hope, mostly because Ahsoka, like how old is she now then. It’s true I didn’t check timelines before, so it was really based on impressions from the series. Now I feel slightly more enlightened

IIRC she was about 14 when she became Anakin's padawan, as a guesstimate, that would put her in her early 40's in the Mandalorian I think.

Mandalorian is post Return of the Jedi, set as the new Republic (i.e. the Rebels) struggles to bring reason to the galaxy in the face of rising disorder, after the Emperor's rule ends.

Genuinely shed a tear.

Dave and John nailed it.

OP Skywalker we have all been waiting for.

Will watch on Sunday probably, watching The Expanse tonight. I was amazed by the quality of S2E6 and E7, approaching movie quality.
