The "It's Good But it'd be Great if..." thread

The Alfa Romeo GT: It's good, but it would have been great if it had a more modern and better built interior.

It suffers from this:

It's good, but it'd be great if Audi had not wasted the ingredients that were available to make the S6 a proper rival for the BMW M5.

Noble M600.

It's good, but it'd be great if it had better brakes.

Yeah - I do like this thread too... ;)

Great contributions all round, thanks folks. Stay posted for some of my blindingly insightful opinions soon. :D

The 2006 Fiat Panda 1.2 Dynamic that my wife drives:

It's good, but it would be great if it didn't cost an arm and a leg to maintain!

I took the bloody car for service today. It has 26700km on the clock and the last service was a year ago at 23000km. They changed oil, brake fluids, filled the windscreen washer water, changed the front brake pads and checked the A/C. And I paid a freaking 252.20€ For this.

70€ for the bloody brake bads.
30€ for the bloody work to put on the bloody brake pads.
and on top of that 70€ for oil!

And I thought that Volvo prices was a rape. Doing this on the S60 would cost me no more than 150€.

And at Fiat they charged me 100€ more.

That's too much for a car that costs 9000€ new. Even the 6.9l/100km fuel consumption that my wife gets (she uses the car only in the city) cannot compensate for the enormous (considering it's only a FIAT) service costs.

Sorry Fiat, but you're just too expensive.

^But is this really a car you would want to own? Or just drive around the track a few times?

Hmmm, difficult question to answer honestly HoH.

As an only car - at that budget - I'd never own an M3 GTS. BUT...
Then again, if I could afford an M3 GTS, I'd probably have a dream daily driver parked next to it in the garage in any event. And then I'd want to drive it around a track as often as I could...

That is why an M1 GTS makes good sense - the ticket to Nirvana is a little bit cheaper that way :D

It's good but it'd be great if VW GOLF GTI/GTD could be ordered
as an extra with 4Motion:)

also if all the manufactures would be able to paint your car in any color you want
for no extra money. (I am thinking colors, not paint car in gold and stuff)

Tyres: They are good, but they would be better if it was easier to choose what you need...

The Jaguar XF.

It's good. But it'd be great if didn't have...

Don't know if you ever sat in a XF, but what I can remember it is Aluminium and no plastic + leather dashboard etc…

Never sat in one... It's just that these days manufacturers are always slapping a slab of shiny silver plastic and say it's aluminium... that really pisses me off.

Real aluminium then? Phew... That's a relief.

May I add, that it would be even better if it didn't have that stupid light blue interior ambient and dials lights. It looks very cheap with that colour. Should it be a deeper blue colour it would look fantastic.

:t-cheers:

"It's Good But it'd be Great if..."

we could order up imported cars as we'd like instead of the usual "packages" or pre-determined way of coming to our shores.
