The current Audi A8 is perhaps the most subtle of the German top-of-the-line sedans. Some people are just after that, luxury that doesn't catch everybody's eye. Others find it dull and hard to distinguish from a simple A4. Surprisingly controversial, the A8 has fueled quite many conversations here at GCF, so it's quite interesting to see that it will be soon facelifted.

Our spy photos suggest that we should expect a slightly changed fascia, as the lower part of the front bumper and headlights will be redesigned. Something similar is to be expected about the rear end of the car, too. It wouldn't be surprising if some minor changes to the interior and infotainment system will also be introduced. The facelifted A8 is expected in to arrive in the market sometime next year as a 2015 model.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
