EDIT:
For reference, this is a thread spin-off from:

Thats a very nice evolution, closer to the previous Black Series, one can only wonder how crazy the GT-R or potential Black Series will be for this generation.

Proportions went even more towards the 992, cant miss with that imho.

Even though I like the taillights, the overall execution of the back was nicer in the previous gen, but I guess since the SL took that entry way, gotta distinguish them somehow.

1970kg.... I guess this is what happens when you abandon the SLS-based spaceframe for MSA....
It was destined to weigh as much as the AMG GT. Tragic but it’s life. If you want a light and agile AMG, buy an A45 AMG which is a shocking 400kg lighter. Meanwhile at Porsche, the 911 ST weighs under 1,400kg.

Finally the 911 has a visual rival. Handling won't be on the same level and AMG will likely claim so.

This is just a damn good looking AMG GT - nothing more, nothing less.

I look forward to seeing how useful the rear seats will be for young children.

It's a great looking GT and will find appeal with its target audience - including prospective 911 Turbo buyers - but the weight is quite a surprise and somewhat of a disappointment. Then again, what isn't in the 2 ton region these days?
