The 3-Series looks ugly...

Please don't let this discussion deteriorate into "my beloved car is better than yours".:eusa_doh:

Some years ago everyone accused Audi of having too big wheel arches , now probably BMW due to engineering purposes (=use of very big wheels in the top of the line cars like M3) had to do the same.

What annoys me is that most of the standard alloys on the E46 looked great, and didnt look as if the were 10".

Whaaaa???
Never ever heard this before about BMW. But ok, whatever I guess.

And a standard 6 cylinder 3er looks MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better than the C class in my opinion.

The 4 cylinder models look a bit stripped down, I can at least agree with that.

Still the best looking 3-series ever is the E36. <3

I don't think the E90 is looking aged, in fact in real life it looks sleeker than a lot of other new cars, the new C class looks modern and agressive and has a better 'face' but the shape itself, i think is too 'bubbly'.
The E90 needs some treatment up the front, the kidney grille design together with the headlight combination gives a good emotion, but the lines doesn't flow well i must admit. However the side, the wheel archs are simply admirable!
I think as far as the 3series is concerned, E36 was good, then everything was fine tuned with the E46 and it was pretty much a perfect car.. nowadays the big 3 Germans all produce cars that has converging characteristics, there will never be a clear winner.

In the 1st pic, she looks more like a JDM compact car but with 2nd rims, she looks a real pioneer of sports-sedan :usa7uh:...!

I recently sat in the new c-class that belongs to a friend of mine. The command system is nice and all. The materials are all upped a little bit and the car has grown. The exterior is beautiful and looks more "precious" than the E90 with more elegance. BUT it fails to look sporty. In addition the interior center console looked like something Opel would be proud of. The buttons and the black plastic looked cheap. The A/C is a huge improvement especially its the right time to test it, the temp was about 45 C and it was ice cold, but still suffers from noisy fan sound. The owner used to own the old C-class and he said it drives almost the same. I don't count his point of view, maybe bcoz he is an average driver and doesn't pay attention to handling and steering/throtle response

What about this 1-Series...

:rofl::rofl:

I think an important aspect that's left out of the discussion is the fact that the models with upgraded wheels often have upgraded, i.e. lowered suspensions. This makes a HUGE difference in the look of the car. Every models car with the base wheels look like absolute garbage, on purpose. They want you to buy up. Every manufacturer employs this tactic.

So true... Nowadays anyway!
