India have made a small recovery to 230/6 with 5 overs remaining. If they can just make 5 an over from here they'll end up with 255 which any side will feel is at least defendable.

Pakistan is sensible batting away from the Wc final. Also of course, being very patient. :D

At least one South African has a chance with coming home with a medal. :(

I'm pretty damn sure, the game against India was highly enforced by politics!! 'Cricket-diplomacy' is the term mate! :)

Wish I could get the damn camera out. But to describe the scene. About 30 people over, I'm on my comp as well as helping set up a feast. Got samosa, chole, puri, chaat, etc. All that stuff was ready to go! LOL
 
Now THAT is what I call a captain's innings! Malinga almost made the game look one sided by dismissing Tendulkar and Sehwag in just a couple of overs. Kholi and Ghambir played well but damnit Dhoni just had that yearning in his eyes, he wanted to steer his team to victory and boy did he finish it off in style!

Well deserved victory and also the first country to ever win a world cup on home soil! Just spectacular! Also a special shout out to fellow South African Gary Kirsten. Definitely played a prominent role behind turning the team around in the last 4 years.
